Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Guidewire Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in both PolicyCenter and BillingCenter. This individual will play a critical role in designing, configuring, and integrating Guidewire solutions that support enterprise insurance operations. The ideal candidate has deep configuration and integration experience, strong Java fundamentals, and a disciplined approach to engineering, including Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Key Responsibilities: Guidewire Development & Configuration • Design and implement solutions in PolicyCenter and BillingCenter • Perform configuration work including: o Product Model changes o PCF/UI enhancements o Business Rules o Workflows o Batch processes • Customize and extend Guidewire applications using Gosu Integration Development • Build and maintain integrations using: o Guidewire Integration Framework o REST and SOAP services o Messaging systems (where applicable) • Develop and maintain backend services using Java • Ensure secure and scalable integration patterns Engineering Best Practices • Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices • Maintain strong unit test coverage • Participate in peer code reviews • Follow clean code and OOP design principles • Support production troubleshooting and root cause analysis Collaboration & Delivery • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, and DevOps teams • Translate business requirements into technical design • Contribute to architectural discussions and technical planning • Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies

Additional Requirements

Required Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on Guidewire development experience • Strong experience in both: o PolicyCenter o BillingCenter • Active Guidewire Certifications: o PolicyCenter (Associate or ACE preferred) o BillingCenter (Associate or ACE preferred) • Strong understanding of: o Java o Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) o Design patterns • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs • Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit or similar) • Experience working in Agile environments
