Job Description – SAP / Functional Engineers

Role Overview

We are looking for SAP / Functional Engineers to support functional testing of SAP S/4HANA business processes. The candidates will review requirements, prepare and execute test cases, validate business flows and data, report defects, and work with SAP functional, business, and testing teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications and translate them into test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute functional, end-to-end, integration, regression, and release testing for SAP S/4HANA applications.
• Validate expected business outcomes, application behavior, and data across relevant SAP modules and connected systems.
• Prepare and maintain test data, test cases, execution evidence, and defect details.
• Identify, log, track, retest, and verify defects with SAP functional consultants, developers, and business teams.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), business testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and release activities.
• Participate in testing for store/location configurations and deployment waves where applicable.
• Coordinate with automation engineers to identify automation candidates and validate automated test results.
• Provide clear updates on execution progress, defects, risks, and test completion.

Mandatory Skills

• 4+ years of experience in software testing / Quality Engineering, including SAP functional testing.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA business processes and functional testing.
• Experience preparing test scenarios and test cases, executing tests, and managing defects.
• Ability to understand requirements and functional specifications and identify positive, negative, and edge-case scenarios.
• Experience with regression testing, test data preparation, and documenting test evidence.
• Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

SAP Workstream Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is useful. Candidates are not expected to have expertise in every workstream.

• OTC – Order-to-Cash
• RTR – Record-to-Report
• VIM – Vendor Invoice Management
• SAC – SAP Analytics Cloud
• STP – Source-to-Pay
• WHS – Warehouse
• TM – Transportation Management
• PRD – Production
• SCP – Supply Chain Planning
• MDG – Master Data Governance
• SAP Security / Authorizations, Basis, or Integrations

Good to Have

• Experience with SAP Fiori or other web-based SAP applications.
• Exposure to Tricentis Tosca, Playwright, or other test automation tools.
• Experience with SAP and non-SAP integration testing, APIs, or data validation.
• Exposure to test management tools such as qTest, Jira, or similar tools.
• Experience with store/location configuration testing or deployment waves.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing or test case generation.
