Job Description – Senior Tosca Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for Senior Tosca Automation Engineers with strong hands-on experience in Tricentis Tosca. Experience in SAP automation is preferred. Exposure to Playwright and AI-assisted automation is an advantage. The engineers will build and maintain automated tests, support regression execution, investigate failures, and work with the automation lead and SAP functional team to improve test coverage and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases using Tricentis Tosca.
• Create and maintain reusable Tosca modules, test cases, test data, and automation components.
• Automate functional, end-to-end, integration, and regression scenarios for SAP S/4HANA and related applications.
• Work with SAP Fiori and web-based SAP applications; SAP GUI automation experience is useful where applicable.
• Support automation across store/location configurations and deployment waves by reusing test assets and varying test data.
• Analyze execution results, troubleshoot failures, identify root causes, and work with functional and technical teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain automation assets and execution evidence and report test progress, defects, coverage, and risks.
• Support execution through Tosca DEX Server or distributed execution environments where required.
• Work with test management and defect tracking tools such as qTest, Jira, or equivalent tools.
• Collaborate with the Tosca Lead / Architect, SAP functional engineers, and business teams to identify suitable automation scenarios.
• Where skills allow, contribute to Playwright automation and AI-assisted testing, including test/script generation, failure analysis, and self-healing workflows.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software testing / Quality Engineering with strong hands-on Tricentis Tosca automation experience.
• Experience designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test cases.
• Good understanding of reusable automation design, test data, regression testing, and defect lifecycle.
• Ability to investigate automation failures and distinguish application defects from test or environment issues.
• Experience working with test cases, execution results, evidence, and status reporting.
• Good communication and collaboration skills for working with functional, technical, and automation teams.

Good to Have

• SAP S/4HANA automation experience, especially SAP Fiori or other web-based SAP applications.
• Playwright experience for web application automation.
• Experience using AI-assisted automation with Playwright, including test generation, script creation, failure analysis, or self-healing.
• Exposure to Tosca DEX Server, qTest, CI/CD, and test reporting dashboards.
• Experience with SAP GUI, APIs, integration testing, or multi-store / multi-location configuration testing.
• Exposure to MCP, LLM-based tools, or agentic AI testing workflows.
